We Ripped The ENTIRE Closet Down And Started Over
We've Installed Over 25,000 Closets Without a Hitch.
But let's face it -
Sometimes Mistakes Happen.
I'd love to tell you that every single one of the 25,000+ closets that we've installed over the years has been perfect - but it's just not true.
Mistakes have been made and sometimes things go wrong for the strangest reasons.
But the fact is - we'll try very hard to make you happy.
Jackie Cherenza
For example. About 10 years ago we sold a walk-in closet to some folks who live on Beacon Hill, in the famous Louisburg Square. The closet was to be made of cherry wood and the expectation was that the quality would be in keeping with the high standards of the house - which at that time was in the process of being remodeled from top to bottom.
We installed everything on schedule even though there was nowhere to park due to some FBI guys sitting in their cars confiscating parking spaces all day long - protecting certain politicians in the area.
At first everyone was thrilled with the installation...but then the troubles began.
You have to keep up with change, adopting new technologies - or risk being left behind. As it turned out we had used a new invisible glue to apply the veneered edges of the shelves. Hoping to do better we had actually done worse - the glue was letting go and things were unraveling.
Options were considered and we made the decision to remove the entire closet and start over. This project was on a fast track and no time could be wasted in taking care of the situation. New cherry was ordered and we applied thick solid cherry edges instead of the veneered edges. We determined that not only would the system be replaced - it would be better than what they had paid for. We can't promise that would ever be the solution for anyone again.
The effort was stressful to say the least, when it comes to woodworking we like to do it fast but not so fast that quality suffers. We had to get it right the second time. No ifs, ands, or buts.
You'd be surprised to hear something other than a happy ending at this point. Thankfully everything did end well. People usually hide their mistakes and weaknesses and certainly don't publish them on a website, but I thought you should know that in this case we took care of our mistake.
Successful people don't get to where they are by leeching off of others or whining and kicking until they get their way. Instead, they take responsibility for their actions, learn from their mistakes, leverage the power of other people's experience and persist until they reach their goals.
If something goes wrong, we take the actions we feel are called for. You can count on that.
As with all of our closet systems and melamine cabinets, we stand behind our real wood cabinets for as long as you live in your home.
